Meet the Team
The people who will actually be in the room with you — and who make a sedation visit feel like an ordinary one.
A practice built around comfort
Good dentistry is not only about teeth — it is about trust. Since opening in Michigan, SmilePro Dental has grown by treating patients the way we would want to be treated: listened to, unhurried, and never made to feel bad for how long it has been. That matters more, not less, when someone is anxious enough to need sedation to get through a visit.
Today the practice brings several full-time dentists together with part-time specialists, so a complete range of care — from a routine cleaning to full-mouth reconstruction — happens under one roof. For a nervous patient that means fewer unfamiliar rooms, fewer new faces, and one team that already knows your story.
The dentists
Our dentists collaborate on complex cases, so you get the benefit of more than one expert opinion. Dr. Salam Awad leads the practice — and every decision about who should be sedated, by which method, and who should not.

The whole team is used to patients who are frightened of the dentist — it is who this practice is for. We explain before we act, agree a stop signal, and never rush. And when that is not enough on its own, any treatment can be carried out under sedation.
